If you searched for a recycling service in Zurich: disposal.ch collects from your home or office, then sorts and delivers to certified recycling centers. Recycling is not a separate product you buy — it is what happens after every pickup.
We are not a municipal Recyclinghof, have no walk-in yard, and do not melt or shred materials ourselves. Specialist facilities handle processing; we choose and pay for the correct routing so you do not drive.

What affects the price
Every recycling pickup ends in sorting and routing. The quote is driven by the job — not invented catalogue prices.
- Volume and number of items: more in one visit usually improves the per-item rate.
- Floor and lift access: a floor surcharge of CHF 5–10 per storey above ground applies where there is no lift, and it is always shown in the quote before work begins.
- Disassembly for large or built-in pieces is reflected in the written Fixpreis.
- Sonderabfall such as refrigerants is routed via licensed specialists and reflected in the quote when present.
Zurich’s Recyclinghof can be free or weight-based for small loads you can transport yourself. We are the paid pickup alternative when items are heavy, upstairs, or time-pressured.

Is disposal.ch a recycling centre?
No. A Recyclinghof such as Werdhölzli or Looächer is a public municipal drop-off yard. disposal.ch is a private pickup service: we collect and route items to certified recycling centers.
What happens to my items after pickup?
Every item is sorted by material and routed to certified recycling or licensed disposal facilities depending on the material.
Can I drop off items at disposal.ch myself?
No. We have no public walk-in location. Pickup only — from your address to the correct facility.
How is this different from the ERZ Recyclinghof or Mobile Recyclinghof?
Those are municipal drop-off points you travel to. The Mobile Recyclinghof does not accept car deliveries. We collect from your home or office on a schedule that works for you.
Do I need to sort my items before you collect them?
No. Gather items in one place if you can; we sort by material after pickup. At the Recyclinghof you must pre-sort before arrival.
