A basement clearance expands the moment you open the cellar door: old furniture, forgotten boxes, broken appliances, damp mattresses. We come to the property, carry everything out of the Kellerabteil or cellar room, and handle sorting and disposal — no Sperrgutmarke stack at the kerb.
January to March is peak season for cellar clearances in Zürich, when lease handovers demand empty compartments. Illegal dumping in communal areas or on pavements carries fines of CHF 200–1'000+ under the Zürich waste ordinance. We work with residents, landlords, property managers, and estate executors across Kanton Zürich and nearby cantons — every job with a written Fixpreis first.
Items we clear from cellars
Full Kellerabteil, single cellar room, or multi-room basement. Mixed storage from years of use is quoted as one clearance, not item-by-item kerbside stickers.
Mattresses and bedding
Damp cellars degrade foam and fabric. We collect all sizes, including double and boxspring models. Foam, fabric, and springs are separated at processing — not left in a Züri-Sack.
Electrical appliances and e-waste
Fridges, washing machines, TVs, and IT gear go through SENS- or Swico-registered channels. Compliance documentation is part of the clearance when those items are in the cellar.
Mixed bulky waste and storage clutter
Boxes, bags, construction offcuts, sports gear, garden tools — years of accumulation. No pre-sorting required on your side; we load and separate at the depot.
Hazardous materials (Sonderabfall)
Paints, solvents, pesticides, batteries, and fluorescent tubes under USG / ChemRRV. Flag these when you request a quote so we arrange separate routing — never mixed with general waste.

An insured team carries every item out of the cellar — narrow stairs and no lift included — and loads the van. You do not carry anything to the kerb.

Recycle, document, optional clean
Items are separated for donation, recycling, SENS/Swico, or KVA Hagenholz. Disposal confirmation on request. Post-clearance cellar cleaning can be added via Züriclean for a besenrein handover.
Fixed-price quotes
You receive a written Fixpreis before the team arrives. Photos, postcode, access, and approximate volume are what we need.
- On this service, a small Kellerabteil (up to about 5 m²) typically quotes CHF 150–250; a medium compartment CHF 250–420; a large multi-room cellar CHF 500–1'600, depending on volume and access.
- Guide ranges from the comparison table: door collection for a few mixed items often CHF 60–120 or CHF 120–250; a full Kellerabteil (3–6 m²) CHF 250–480; a large cellar (10–20 m²) with furniture CHF 480–1'200.
- Floor / carry-level surcharges of CHF 5–10 per level are stated in the quote — never added on the day.
- ERZ Sperrgutmarke is about CHF 9 per item (≤25 kg) at the kerb only. ERZ does not clear cellar compartments. Illegal dumping fines run CHF 200–1'000+.
If you have one or two light items under 25 kg and can carry them to the kerb yourself, the ERZ Sperrgutmarke is usually cheaper — we say so when that is the case. For a full Kellerabteil, heavy pieces, or anything that must be carried from the cellar, a booked clearance is the practical route.
What happens after collection
Every item from a cellar clearance is separated at our depot before disposal. Landfill tipping is not the default route.

Can you clear a cellar the same day?
Yes. Same-day slots are available in most Zürich postcodes. WhatsApp us a photo of the cellar, confirm the Fixpreis, and we can often arrive that afternoon. January–March is our peak period, so request early if possible.
Do I need to carry items to the kerb before you arrive?
No. Our team carries everything from inside the cellar, regardless of stairs, narrow corridors, or access difficulty. Carrying to the kerb yourself is not required. The only time we ask you to pre-sort is if there are known hazardous items — flag these when requesting your quote.
How is the price calculated: by item, by hour, or by volume?
We price by volume and job complexity. You receive a Fixpreis based on photos or a site visit, never by the hour. Access difficulty, stairs, and no-lift conditions are factored in upfront. Floor surcharges of CHF 5–10 per carry-level are always stated in the quote, not added on the day.
What happens to items that cannot be recycled?
Non-recyclable residuals go to Kehrichtverwertungsanlage Hagenholz for incineration with energy recovery. Electronics go to SENS/Swico certified facilities. We do not tip illegally, and we provide a disposal confirmation on request.
Can you clear a cellar after a bereavement or estate probate?
Yes. Estate cellar clearances are one of the most common jobs we handle. We work at your pace, with discretion. For combined cellar and apartment clearance following a bereavement, we can co-ordinate a single visit. Timing can be aligned with probate or property handover requirements.
Can I arrange cellar clearance and post-clearance cleaning together?
